So I haven't been on here in forever. My camera is still broken, and there's no fun in posts with no pictures...!

I've finished a few things since the last time I updated. I made a Panta in leftover Debbie Bliss Cashmerino from my Hot Lava Cardigan.

I finished my little brother Aiden's sweater, it's the Baby's First Tattoo sweater from Stitch 'n Bitch Nation, I did it in a light green with yellow trim and I put an intarasia star on the back. I sewed the whole thing up, my first time with grafting, and I just have to finish adding the snap closures. I used some 100% wool stuff from JoAnn's and size 5 needles. The pattern called for 3's, but I didn't have them so I used the smallest I had at the time. The sweater turned out big, but I figure he'll be able to wear it for a while.

I'm nearly done with Mikayla's sweater, same brand of yarn from JoAnn's except it's a light pink heather color. It looks and feels just like cotton candy! It's knit on size 7 needles, and the pattern is the Child's Placket-Neck Pullover from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. I have the body and half of one sleeve done, all that's left is finishing that sleeve and the second, then picking up my stitches to work the neck.

My friend Phil asked for a black beanie with a skull on it, so I just picked up some Caron Simply Soft No Dye Lot yarn, one skein black and one skein white, to do that. I'm working that up on size 5 DPN's. I just started the intarasia tonight, and I'm making up the pattern as I go along, except I'm using the skull chart from Baby's First Tattoo...

I bought six skeins of Caron Simply Soft No Dye Lot in Grey Heather today, and one little tiny thing of Paton's Brilliant in Black Dazzle with the idea of doing a full size version of Glampyre's top down minisweater with a little intarastia heart out of the Paton's somehwere. That yarn is great, it has the smallest bit of shimmer to it. But now I think I'm going to use that to make Holly from Magknits.

In case you haven't noticed, the yarn budget has been close to nothing lately. I've become a fiber snob, but you really can't go wrong with acrylic. Hand washable, and usually soooo soft... And cheap, the Caron's is $1.24 a skein, which is 3 oz. It doesn't give a yardage, or a recommended needle size, but... whatever it's cheap.

Hopefully my dear camera will be running soon, but I doubt it. Until then, plain jane posts are all I've got.
